Doctor
Medical care is good within South Africa and there are several doctor’s surgeries within Franschhoek. We would recommend Dr Eksteen’s practice at The Ivy, 1 Kruger Street. This is the street next to Col’ Cacchio.

Supermarkets
Within Franschhoek there is a large Pick n’Pay supermarket which covers all the basics. This is located at the west end of the village, with parking behind the supermarket.
There is also a Woolworths “local” located in the middle of the village. This is the better choice for fresher fruit, vegetables etc. Parking is behind Woolworths, accessable from Dirkie Uys Street (runs parallel to Akademie Street).
